Objectives: Hypophosphatasia (HPP) is a rare hereditary disease, leading to deficits in bone and tooth mineralization, muscular as well as neurological abnormalities due to decreased enzymatic activity of the tissue-nonspecific alkaline phosphatase (TNAP, encoded by the alpl gene).
